7 Principles of Economic Leadership
Pursue the Art of the Possible - Pursue value, without limitations or barriers. Imagine the future state, the future product or future service. Talk about it, learn about it and teach others to help create it.
Be Honest with Yourself and Others - Be intellectually and morally honest with yourself, and be transparent to others. Let people see the truth, in you and in them.
Keep Great Records - Tell the story with facts and figures. Know the time, location, date, amounts, the whos, whats, hows and whys. Manage information with tools that empower you and the people you trust.
Learn from Mistakes - Be humble in failure and listen to others. Learn to see the past with detachment, and with as much perspective as possible. Internalize lessons so that you continue to trust your instincts, despite the pain and scars of hardship.
Ask for Help - Seek out and surround yourself with trustworthy people. Tell them what you need to succeed, without shame or guilt, and use their help to accomplish hard things worth doing.
Help when Asked - Be there for people when they trust you enough to ask for your help. Don’t simply provide what is requested, but learn what they need, and see them through the challenge.
Believe in what you do - Focus on goals beyond your lifetime, and don't be shy to tell your story along the way.
